Les Houches, Chamonix

We highly recommend car hire from the airport for guests staying in Chalet Rocky Mountain, we use www.travelsupermarket.com which searches out the cheapest options. Weekly hire prices start from around £150.-£300 (depending on size / standard of car etc). You then have the total flexibility to explore all the other ski resorts in the Chamonix Valley and gives you quick access to the local skiing in Les Houches. Each ski area has plenty of parking. Alternatively, if you still prefer to be transferred from the airport we highly recommend www.mountaindropoffs.com who operate a very professional, reasonably priced service from Geneva Airport (takes about an hour and costs from €30 per person each way). Once at the chalet, you can then use the local Chamonix Navette Ski bus that runs up and down the Valley between Les Houches and all the different Chamonix resorts. The bus stop is a 600m walk from the chalet in the village centre.The main stops include: Les Houches Prairion – Les Houches Bellevue – Les Houches Centre-Chamonix Centre-Le Brévent-La Flégere- Argentiere-Le Tour.
